Hey all, I’m new to the forum, posting at least, and thought I’d introduce myself. I’m in my late 20s and just recently received my new NDIS plan, so I’m working through everything that comes with that. I’m still getting my head around how to make sure I get the most out of it.
A little about me: I’m pretty chill, love music, reading, and binge-watching shows when I get the chance. I’ve been managing some physical and mental health challenges for a while now, but I’m always up for a chat and learning from others who’ve been through similar things.
Looking forward to connecting and hearing everyone’s experiences. It looks like a really good place to chat about all of this stuff. I haven’t had the best experiences on facebook groups. Hoping here will be friendlier.
Welcome to the forum Ella and congratulation on receiving your plan. Anything you need help with, the community will be able to assist. We have participants and providers who have lots of experience. So ask away.
I wasn’t a fan of facebook groups myself. I like the structure of a forum better. Everything is neatly organised in designated categories. NDIS facebook groups are usually just an endless scroll of ads. I’m suprised there aren’t more ndis forums to be honest.
Hahaha how courteous to warn everyone Lauren. I’m a chatter box too. My official warning. I never warned anyone before though. If you need to warn people, you must be on a whole other level lol.
And yes I do have questions Michael. I’m in the middle of writing it now, but keep getting notifications here and get curious to see.
First question, how do I quote someone like you have Michael. That will make life easier when responding to people.
you can also copy links to other posts using the link icon at the bottom of the post you want to link to or add one through the search bar by using the link icon on the text box.
Hey, welcome to the forum! Sounds like you’ve got a good mix of interests going on. I totally get what you mean about trying to navigate the new NDIS plan. It can feel like trying to put together a puzzle without all the pieces sometimes, but you’ll get there.
And yeah, Facebook groups can be a bit hit or miss. This place tends to be a lot more relaxed, so I’m sure you’ll find it more helpful and chill here. Feel free to throw any questions or thoughts out there. I’ve found people here are super supportive and always up for a chat.
