I might not survive it but it will be delicious
2 flavours of quiche, jelly cup, tiramisu cups, scones and fruit salad on the way.
Is anyone else cooking up a treat?

Whoa, Lauren, you’re on a roll! Those quiches look like they belong in a bakery, and the rainbow jelly cup, now that’s some next-level dessert game. I’m drooling over here .
I don’t know why, but I never noticed a notification for this topic. Missing out on the good stuff!
Definitely. I only have one weakness when it comes to food. Its chocolate. These look good. You’ve done well.
If you were local, I’d be asking for an invite to one of your events. How did the high tea go?? … any left overs??
Surely your partner is having a field day if there’s any left.
He is all over it
It went really well. I will post photos in a bit.
This is legit food goals. I’m just over here trying to get dinner sorted and you’ve got a whole brunch spread going. Respect!
Yeah. Its a lot of prep and mess and time and energy. When my wife cooks and hosts something, its nice to have it all over with if its a big enough thing she’s prepping for.
Usually when you’re cooking for some kind of event there’s also decorations and other things to set up… By the end of it you’re usually pretty buggered.
I’m really happy it went well for you.
If those treats didn’t do the trick…
Wow, Lauren, you’re cooking for a small army! If you have leftovers, I volunteer as tribute . Seriously though, everything looks amazing!
Oh my goodness! I’m so starving right now and you decide to do a food post. If I was in Victoria, I’d be so keen to go to one of your high tea’s to get to know you over a Tiramisu. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m happy to see more cooking stuff from Lauren!
I would send one in the mail but the little cups probably wouldnt survive a manhandling by auspost
Long before disability work, I worked hotels and hospitality. I have a few entertaining tricks up my sleeve.
Is this a casual cooking day for you, or do you have a secret catering side business? Everything looks absolutely pro-level .
While I do have meal prep as part of disability work, especially for people with difficulty swallowing, it doesn’t always get this out of control
I feel like I need to step up my kitchen game now. Meanwhile, I’m over here burning toast . That jelly cup is a work of art!
Jelly cup is super easy. Just make one layer, wait 4 hours, rinse and repeat until the cups are full.
I can’t even decide what looks better, the quiche or the tiramisu cups. Either way, I’m inspired to up my cooking game this weekend! Easy to forget how much goes into any event that supplies decent food. Nice work.
The quiches are really easy to make in bulk, and you can do different flavours so easy. We had fetta and pumpkin as well as bacon and cheese
Those quiches are making me so hungry right now. Who knew a muffin tray could turn out such masterpieces?
Especially with just 6 base ingredients and a filling
You better drop that recipe, Lauren! I could use a good quiche recipe, especially if mine can turn out like that!
Its super easy.
Heat up your oven to 200 degrees
Grease muffin trays, this recipe can make roughly 30 quiches depending on the tray type
Mix a 600ml bottle of thickened cream, 6 eggs, salt, pepper and paprika in a bowl
Take defrosted puff pastry sheets and cut 5 circles out of each to suit your muffin holes (I use a wide brim cup and get 5 out of each sheet)
Press the pastry circles into the muffin holes, be careful not to make holes or seal them with more pastry
Add filling but dont over fill
Laddle the cream egg mix into each one, fill to just below the rim of the pastry
Tap the trays to get air bubbles out
Pop them in the oven for 25 minutes, then take them out and let them cool for 20 minutes
Some fillings I like:
Diced bacon, shallots and shredded cheese
Pumpkin cubes (pre boiled), diced fetta and shallots
Tuna and corn
Cheese and mushroom with shallots
