The NDIS is too important to get wrong!

As NDIS reforms roll out, I’m deeply concerned about the rushed changes that could impact participant choice, control, and access to quality care. The NDIS was designed to empower people with disabilities, but fast-tracked reforms could limit flexibility and restrict access to essential supports.

:small_blue_diamond: Choice & Control – Participants should have the freedom to choose their supports, but tighter restrictions may take that away.
:small_blue_diamond: Equity – Changes could make it harder for self-managed and plan-managed participants to access trusted, smaller providers.
:small_blue_diamond: Safety & Wellbeing First – Reforms should be co-designed with the community, not rushed at the expense of those who rely on the NDIS.

We urge the Government to slow down these changes and put participant wellbeing first. Let’s protect the integrity of the NDIS and ensure it truly serves those who need it most!

I share your concerns. I worry that it will be participants that miss out. Especially if mandatory registration for sole traders like myself involve exuberant fees. I was quoted $10,0000 to get registered. For my number of NDIS clients at the moment, this would not be financially feasible.
