How I get to spend my lunch breaks between work some days

One of the many things that make this job totally worth it.

Gorgeous. That would be calming.

Because it is also a “regular adult” work day, I get the whole thing to myself.

“Regular adult” work day??

What’s that supposed to mean

People who have the joy of working the standard 9-5 in an office or 6-2 at a site.

My days are irregular and I travel all over so I get the fun of choosing what vista I want for my lunch breaks.

I was wondering the same thing actually.

It is nice to go on adventures for your working day.

I still pick up casual shifts at my local hospital. Yesterday I had to escort a lady who was being discharged from hospital, in a wheelchair taxi all the way out to her residence which was way out in the bush. It was beautiful.

When we arrived, I knocked on her front door and rang the door bell to get her husbands attention. No one answered. The front door was unlocked thankfully (due to them living out in the bush and not feeling the need to lock their doors I’m guessing).

The patient told me to go in and see if her husband was in the room or maybe in the toilet ( :joy: … I was just hoping he didn’t get a fright and try to kill me with a shot gun or something).

He wasn’t in the house and he was supposed to be home.

The patient then told me to check the shed waaaaaaaaaaay down the back of the property through the bush. So off i trekked. I eventually located him down at the shed. He wasn’t aware that we were coming as he hadn’t checked his phone.

It was a fun adventure. Beautiful surrounds. Would never experience that kind of thing in an office.
