We are Wilabu Support Services, a team with over 20 years of experience, including nurses and support workers. Located in Cranbourne, Victoria, we are a new provider looking to connect with participants for our services and would appreciate any assistance in reaching out to them. Thank you.
I have a few questions to work out where you might need help in order to start attracting participants.
Before you started did you do market research in the areas you wanted to work?
This would have included looking at how many providers already operate in those areas, how many participants are in those areas, how many participants are looking for workers and the types of services that those participants are interested in.
The last one is one of the most important because you can advertise services all day long, but if they arent services that participants are looking for, no one will pay attention to you.
Your pages have a lot of very generic adverts on them. Are you advertising in other ways? The internet is flooded with boring generic ndis advertising and there are over 250,000 providers. If your ads donât stand out, they just drown in the sea of ads. I suggest taking one of your ads and comparing it to the top ten google results for ndis serviceâs. Cross everything off that you already see on other pages. If you end up left with nothing but your logo then there is a problem.
How many disability community events are you going to and how often do you engage with participants in a non work related setting? Part of this business is getting to know people and trust building. Otherwise you are just another faceless provider.
How happy are your current participants with your services? Happy participants talk about you. So do unhappy ones.
You advertise a lot of services, but what is your niche service that you are better at doing than most other providers?
Welcome to the platform. Itâs a pleasure to have you here.
Iâve moved your post to the B2B introductions section as your intro post contains business related queries. The B2B section is the place to ask all of your business related questions. The B2B section is still relatively new, so there isnât as much activity on it yet.
@Lauren is 10/10 knowledgeable. Her posts are absolutely fantastic. Lots of business knowledge⌠Btw, so nice of you to take the time to look at their site Lauren. Just imagining you sitting there in your little hoodie with this pensive look on your face as you do your quick analysis haha.
Also, Wilabuss Iâve had to remove your social media links as its straying into active solicitation territory. However, we provide the ability to have a post signature with every post so that if participants like what they see in your posts, they can click through to your directory listing. This way we can keep the platform free of excessive commercial activity.
You can set your post signature up here in your dashboard:
This is a thread whereby someone was asking how to go about getting referrals. Essentially what youâre asking here. I suggest you have a read after creating your signature.
Itâs definitely unique industry whereby people really have to have at least a small amount of liking and trust for you before theyâll feel comfortable taking up services with you.
There are so many providers all offering the same service, all with the same looking websites and marketing copy, so it can be challenging to avoid falling into the trap of blending in. This platform tries to overcome this issue by giving providers the chance to show participants what theyâre like, get to know them, have a little fun, help them with their queries etc. All things that build comfort and trust. All from the convenience of your loungeroom. All things that fall outside the regular run of the mill marketing and advertising.
Normally this kind of activity is done physically in the community and can be challenging to do on a consistent basis due to logistical issues (especially if youâre running a company with several clients). You definitely shouldnât neglect your local community outreach, but interacting with participants here is another way to perform community outreach that is more consistent and has less logistical challenges.
So interact with participants and other providers here and begin the gradual process of developing a reputation in this industry.
