Since transitioning from sole trader to company, I am being relentlessly spammed by companies wanting to do my media, or advertising, or help me find leads etc.
It’s happening through phone calls, facebook DMs and text messages. Here is one example:
I get that people are just trying to drum up business. But in all seriousness I have received 18 interuptions today alone. I’m trying to work. Some of the messages are identical but from different people/providers.
Is there a block or no call/no solicitation list I can put myself on? Has anyone else been through this when converting to company?
I have definitely been trying. Many of them are posing as potential participants though until they get me talking. They are pretty relentless. One company in particular has used 3 different numbers to reach me after being blocked.
When I launched a different business a years ago, I got spam too, but no where near to the level that you’re getting it. Haeleigh (my wife) owns an android and always gets more spam.
You can always apply to be put on the do not call register. Its a register that telemarketers aren’t allowed to call unless they’re calling on behalf of a charities. Charities are exempt from do not call registers.
