The stamping with leaves and stems sounds like such a fun and unique idea! I’m definitely going to try that with my garden scrapbook. Did you find the ink held well on different types of leaves? I’d love to add a little bit of nature’s own art into mine!
Some of the more slippery and smooth leaves were a struggle but most handled it well. You can also lightly paint leaves if you dont have an ink pad.
Something else I do a lot of are memory boxes. Similar to scrapbooks but it is in a shadow box frame and is more like a single 3d page. Im going to be making a new one soon so I might photograph the steps so people can see. Here are 2 examples I have made, bluring out faces and names of course. I like them because people can display them, and when I do them for people who have passed away, it keeps small pieces of them safe.
That’s a wonderful point about fine motor skills! I think it’ll be a great activity for my little ones. I love how scrapbooking lets them use their creativity without needing strict rules. Do you ever do themed scrapbooking sessions with your participants or just let them go with the flow?
I let them pick what they want. Mostly I help give them ideas for layout or decorations.
